Kit Tolbert may have moved on after serving over 30 years as the Housing & Residence Life Director, but the new addition Dr. Mike Reagle is eager to finish where she left off.
Dr. Reagle was working as the Associate Vice President for student success at Youngstown University in Youngstown, Ohio when he learned that he would take Tolbert’s place.
“I always knew that I wanted to come back to Kentucky… I always heard about Western and the great things that they do,” he said.
Dr. Reagle also worked with the housing and dining services at Eastern Kentucky University for almost 15 years. He believes that experience should equip him to do his new job very well.
“I know that Western has decided to merge their dining department with housing, so that helps. I just want to learn and ask questions so we can assist the students the best way we can,”
Harsh Pandya, who is a resident assistant and a Resident Hall Association (RHA) member, thinks that Dr. Reagle has all of the right qualities to be the new housing director.
“I think he’s a good candidate,” Pandya said, “and I know that he’ll make it a priority to connect with the residents.”
It’s exciting to see what improvements and changes Dr. Mike Reagle will make, but one thing that’s for sure is that he wants to be here.
“This is like a dream come true for me.”
